Title: A Really Good Day: How Microdosing Made a Mega Difference in My Mood, My Marriage, and My Life

Published: 2017

I suppose you could say this book inspired me to write about my microdosing experience, but it has WAY MORE to offer on the topic.  I wouldn’t say it changed my life, but it certainly spun my head around.

The author – Ayelet Waldman – had a respectable legal career as a public defender and law professor.  She is not “a party girl” – her approach is thorough and rigorous.  She worked as a consultant to the Drug Policy Alliance, which leads to some enlightening chapters on how to improve drug laws.  The chapter on how she obtained her LSD (yeah – she used LSD, not psilocybin) is fascinating.

But what is most impressive is just how much Ms. Waldman benefitted from the experience.  It is truly remarkable.  I know that this just one person’s story, and I know her job is to sell books, but this book is legit!  It makes one realize how some of the banned substances may be much better at helping certain mental problems than the products big pharma has developed over the years.

In short, I think it’s a great read and my offer stands: If you’re in Los Angeles, I’d be happy to lend my copy, and if you’re not in LA, I’ll send a paperback.  Just sign up to my email list and say hello!
